WORK WITH US

Make a difference in somebody's garden!

WHAT DO YOU EXCEL AT?

People often think they have to know everything about plants to work here. The truth is, it's a good thing that you like gardening, but what are you really good at? What skills can you bring to this team, whether it's an eye for design, a knack for fixing machinery, or maybe you just really love lifting heavy things (safely). Being good at listening is also really big in our line of work.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO LEARN?

Current employees often remark on the amount of information that they didn't even realize they picked up, simply by working a few short months here. And that's not just plants, it's tools, soil science, integrated pest management, facility maintenance, design, merchandising and beyond. Where do you want to go? There's probably room at Sky.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT NATURE?

Not just the beautiful, sunny days we get in the northwest, where the temperature is perfect and hummingbirds flutter past you in delight. Those days do happen often, but how do you adapt to busy and pouring rain, or ultra quiet and snowy days? Are you the kind of person that can change their routine, just as the seasons change year after year?

ARE YOU MOTIVATED BY SERVICE?

There's a reason so many of our coworkers either come from, or move on to service-focused jobs like teachers, therapists or even firemen. Working with your neighbors on their own gardens in their own homes is a privilege. So, what we do across the whole business always comes back to doing our best for the community that comes in to Sky, every day of the week.
