Ball Gown (Romantica Series)

Hybrid Tea - Growth Habit: 6 ft tall, 3 ft wide - Own Root at Sky in 2024

This intensely fragrant rose checks all the boxes for a new variety that’s bound to become an instant classic. The full, medium pink flowers boast 100 petals per bloom and will grace your garden throughout the summer months. They also make beautiful, long-lasting additions to cut floral arrangements. Bred by Meilland roses and provided to us through Star Roses Nursery, this 2024 introduction has the excellent disease resistance characteristic of many modern roses.

Maui Sunrise

Hybrid Tea - Growth Habit: 4 ft tall, 3 ft wide

Strikingly fragrant with notes of citrus and honey, the alluring scent of these roses will transport you to paradise from across the garden. Golden peach blooms dipped in pink are reminiscent of a stunning tropical sunrise, and shift in color as the weather changes throughout the blooming season. Lightly ruffled edges to the petals bring a fullness to the bloom, that only adds to the striking contrast against glossy green foliage. This variety offers excellent disease resistance and comes to us from Certified Roses. Formerly known as ‘Diane Loomer.’

FLORIBUNDA

This variety's small flowers have the appearance of elegant hybrid tea blooms but they are grouped together in clusters instead of one flower to a stem. Smaller plant than hybrid teas, but often larger than the shrub roses.

PowerPuff Pink

Floribunda - Growth Habit: 4 ft tall, 2 ft wide - Own Root at Sky in 2024

Moderately scented with hints of lemongrass, this rose is designed to grab your attention with its shocking electric pink color. Its peony-like blooms cluster in typical floribunda style of approximately four to seven blooms per stem and are a great attractant for many pollinators. Bred by Dr. James Sproul and sent to us from Star Roses Nursery, this variety has shown great disease resistance since its release and is still fairly uncommon to retail nurseries.

GRANDIFLORA

The grandiflora is a result of crossing a floribunda with a hybrid tea rose. One of the most popular rose types, especially known for large, showy blooms. The flower form of a hybrid tea rose but in clusters like the floribunda rose. Larger plant than hybrid tea roses.

Quest for Zest

Grandiflora - Growth Habit: 4 ft tall, 3 ft wide

A strong citrus-lemon scent and glowing yellow color are perfectly married in this new rose. Pink Freedom

Shrub - Growth Habit: 6 ft tall, 4 ft wide - Own Root at Sky in 2024

As Washingtonians, perhaps we are especially equipped to appreciate the mild ‘apple fragrance’ of this traditional-looking rose. Blooms vary from salmon to medium-pink with a cheerful yellow center, and span about three and half inches across. Typically a heavy bloomer from late spring into autumn, the flowers are highly attractive to both pollinators and people and are excellent in floral arrangements. Hardy and highly disease resistant, this variety makes attractive, high-performance borders and hedges when pruned regularly. This rose won several awards in 2022, including the American Garden Rose Selections Regional Choice Award for the Northwest.

Elizabeth

Shrub - David Austin  - Growth Habit: 5 ft tall and wide

This aristocratic English rose is named after Queen Elizabeth II in honor of her 2022 Platinum Jubilee. It has a strong, sweet scent and full, medium-sized flowers that grow in clusters. The pale pink blooms, with a delicate light golden center, will fade to nearly white as they age, presenting a variety of delicate shades all summer long. This rose is fabulously versatile! It does well in containers as a statement plant, or shaped as a hedge or border. It is hardy in exposed, windy areas and in partial shade.

Eustacia Vye

Shrub - David Austin - Growth Habit: 4 ft tall, 3 ft wide

If you’re looking for an English rose with a romantic bent, this is an excellent option! Along with a strong, fruity fragrance, these full, delicately ruffled blooms have a radiant apricot center that melts into medium pink. Clusters of multiple flowers fade to lighter shades of pink over time, and make for excellent additions to floral arrangements. Eustacia is fast-growing, does well as a hedge plant or in containers, and can even handle partial shade.

Nye Bevan

Shrub - David Austin - Growth Habit: 4 ft tall and wide

Lightly scented, this pale, buttery-yellow flower has a deeper color in the center, fading into cream on its scalloped, nearly heart-shaped edges. Its full ruffles and pale coloring give the blooms an airy, ‘soft feather-like appearance.’ A repeat bloomer that improves with regular deadheading, this rose does well as a border, hedge or in containers. Nye Bevan is named after the founder of Britain's National Health Services (NHS) and recognizes the people who work there and the services they provide.
