Put the RIGHT PLANT in the RIGHT PLACE
If you want an easy maintenance garden, make the right choices when you buy plants this spring. We'll help you find shade plants for your shady borders and sun-loving plants for your dry, sunny spots.
This spring, Sky Nursery is teaming up with the Saving Water Partnership to help you select the right plants that will thrive naturally in dry sun and dry shade (right place). Look for our signs, plant displays and plant lists. By making informed choices, your garden will flourish without excessive watering, pesticides and fertilizers. You'll protect Puget Sound and our other water resources by avoiding chemical solutions and you'll have more time to enjoy what you have created.
If you have challenging conditions that aren't addressed in our display (such as partial sun or shade or poor draining soil) be sure to ask our staff for more plant ideas.
To read more about "Choosing the Right Plants", find plant suggestions in "The Plant List" or to subscribe to The Savvy Gardener, visit the Saving Water Partnership's website at www.savingwater.org/outside.htm.
