Bulking Up!

Winter. Rain. Two things that go together here in the Northwest! And our winter rain can be hard on your garden, leaching nutrients and eroding or compacting your soil - unless you protect your soil with a mulch. Sky carries 4 different mulches in bulk for pickup or delivery. We have shredded bark in medium fine and extra fine grades, Cedar Grove Compost, and Fertile Mulch (composted sawdust and manure). If you want a 2” coverage, 1 cubic yard will cover 150 square feet of your beds. If we get an “Arctic Blast”, heap extra mulch around tender perennials and shrubs to protect them from the cold.

Winter rains can also be hard on driveways and walkways - and tracked-in mud can be hard on your carpets. Sky carries Cedar Play Chips for children’s play areas, Pea Gravel for dog runs, and 2 sizes of crushed rock for driveway and path repair.

All of these products are available by the bag for small jobs, by the yard or yard picked up, and by the yard delivered (minimums for delivery depend on location). Protect your garden from our winter wet now.
