A
LITTLE HISTORY
Sky
Nursery in North Seattle started out as Highland
Feed and Garden in 1953.
Visiting
the nursery now, it's hard to imagine that the Landry
family once sold mostly chickens, turkeys, paints,
and pet supplies, and that the only plants for sale were in
a
small bed where customers dug out for themselves the shrubs
they wanted.
Still
owned and operated by the Landrys, Sky
Nursery has grown and changed over the years to
meet the changing needs of the community.
Gone
are the paint brushes and fowl. The old shrub bed is now 4
acres of plants, including annuals, perennials, water plants,
and shrubs and trees of every size, shape, color, and texture.
Today
Sky Nursery is recognized as the Gardener's
Garden Store throughout the region for its
quality plant materials and garden supplies, and an experienced,
knowledgeable staff.
Though
Sky Nursery has changed a lot since the Landrys sold sacks
of grain, one constant has been pride in bringing you the
highest quality stock, the best selection, and service that
will make you come back again and again.
